Wrisper on Apple Watch and iPhone

"iPhone not reachable"
Your watch cannot reach your iPhone. Keep it nearby with Bluetooth on. Right after installing, open Wrisper once on the iPhone, then reopen it on the watch.
"Apple Intelligence is off"
Wrisper answers with the Apple Intelligence model on your iPhone. Turn it on in the iPhone's Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri, then wait while the model downloads.
"Model not ready yet"
Apple Intelligence is on, but your iPhone has not finished downloading the model. Leave it plugged in and on Wi-Fi. Wrisper's screen on the iPhone switches to Ready as soon as it is done.
"iPhone not supported"
This iPhone cannot run Apple Intelligence. You need an iPhone 15 Pro or later.
"iPhone is holding back"
iOS limits what an app may do in the background. Open Wrisper on your iPhone, then ask again from the watch.
"Timed out"
Your iPhone took more than twenty seconds to answer, usually because it was busy. Tap Try again. If it keeps happening, open Wrisper on the iPhone and try a question in the Try it here field.
"Can't answer that"
The safety filters in Apple's model blocked the question or the answer. Wrisper cannot change them. Try asking it differently.
"Language not supported"
Apple Intelligence does not support this language yet. Ask in a language it does support.
Frequently asked questions
Wrisper isn't on my Apple Watch
The watch app installs along with the iPhone app. If it doesn't appear, open the Watch app on your iPhone, scroll to Available Apps and tap Install next to Wrisper.
The answer is wrong, or out of date
Wrisper answers from what the model already knows. It cannot browse the web, so it does not know today's news, weather or scores. Like any AI model it can also be wrong, and it is unreliable at arithmetic. Check anything that matters.
How do I have answers read aloud?
On the watch, tap the speaker icon at the top right. Tap it again to turn speech off.
Where are my earlier questions?
Tap the clock icon at the top left of the watch screen. Wrisper keeps the last five questions and their answers. To erase them, delete the app from the watch.
Do I have to keep the app open on the iPhone?
Normally not: the watch wakes the app in the background. The iPhone does have to be nearby. If the watch shows "iPhone is holding back", open Wrisper on the iPhone and try again.
Does Wrisper remember the conversation?
No. Each question is handled on its own, so ask it in full without referring to the previous one.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase and no advertising. The answers are computed by your iPhone, which costs us nothing.
